I am deeply saddened that I was not able to attend and express my deepest fondness and appreciation for Mrs Mitchell. She was the catalyst and the chief architect of my life because she encouraged me to apply to the A better Chance program in 1967, a life altering experience to say the least. I owe all that I am to Mrs Mitchell and her innovative financing of my years at The Hill School. Over the years, I made infrequent and impromptu visits to her home to let her know that. Now I want you all to know that.
