Jeffrey L. McAfoose

Jeffrey L. McAfoose, 58, of Lower Burrell died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in Hilton Head Hospital, South Carolina. He was born April 24, 1958 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Jane) McAfoose. Jeff was a 1976 graduate of Kiski Area High School, Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in metallurgical engineering and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a masters of business administration. He worked his entire career at Allegheny Technologies (ATI) retiring in 2008. Jeff was an active board member of the Kiski Area Education Foundation, Hillcrest Country Club and Hilton Head Beach Club Board of Directors. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf and vacationing with family and friends. Jeff will be remembered for his caring heart, generosity and his zest for life. Besides his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his step-mother Patricia McAfoose. Survivors include his brother Thomas L. (Maria) McAfoose; niece, Ashley McAfoose and nephew, Jonathan McAfoose all of Lower Burrell; step-sister Jodi (Randy) Strzeszewski of Natrona Heights; and step-brother Jay (Cathy) Henry of North Smithfield, RI; as well as several other nieces and nephews and friend Jamie Thomas of Hilton Head, SC. He is also survived by his former wife, Cheryl Botti of Lower Burrell. Viewing will be 2-4 & 6-8 on Sunday in ROSS G.
