Jim was one of the good guys. We served as SAC Elite Guards during the 60s. I retired from the Houston Police Department as a Detective after 33 years so I guess we were double brothers. May my friend rest in peace.

Jim and I served together in the SAC Elite Guard at Hq SAC in the 60s. It was a truly Elite unit of hand picked USAF police officers from throughout the Air Force. Jim was outstanding in an outstanding group of professionals and an example for all of us. I called him my brother from another mother. He was a true professional in every sense of the word. I admired him and respected him. RIP my brother. Save me a seat on the other side

I am so sorry to hear about Jim. I worked at WCCC when he was the security guard. I adored him. He always walked me to my car at night. I remember making him a four layer cake for his Birthday, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Heaven gained a great man. My sympathy to Jim's family and everyone who loved him.

Wilda and family, received the sad news of Jim's passing on Easter Sunday. We are in North Carolina and have family commitments that will prevent us from attending but our hearts will be with you. I measured every Chief I served under to the man that brought me into police work in 1988. Jim was the finest. You knew he always had your back and even if he wasn't happy today you wouldn't know it tomorrow. If you did something HE considered remarkable he mentioned it every chance he had. Even after retiring he watched over us a in the FOP. He'll be missed in all our hearts.
