Baba wethu osezulwini Maliphathwe ngobungcwele igama lakho. Umbuso wakho mawufike (Zulu language). Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.

Loud praise Ha la laaaaa! Reverend ancestor Asa Roberts! Ha la laa laaaaaa! From Africa's shores to the streets of New Kensington you have served. Yes, you are a part of the puzzle that makes up so many of our lives. You saved me at the age of nine...walking up the isle to the song come to Jesus, come to Jesus, come to Jesus just now...just now. My family sang in the choir, the many programs and events at the church...to many. You buried our parents. May you rest in peace and your spirit and servant leadership continue inspire. To the family you know we love you. To New Kensington...we have lost a soldier in our battle for christian dignity ad morality...who will pick up the fallen spear? Who will run into the battle now? ....as our wonderful pastor leader served for some many decades...so many people saved.
Ha la la Baba (Father) Asa W Roberts!!!
I was trying to make it but will only be able to arrive in the week...

A TRADITION AND SPLENDOR was sent on February 24, 2017

Thank you Pastor Roberts. You were there for my family through many of life's struggles. Nothing was done to be seen, you were simply being a consistent servant of God. I appreciated your leadership and guidance always pushing me to excel and pursue God. Until we meet again, Ken Dixon & family

To The Family of Pastor Asa Roberts, and to the Church Family: I am so sorry for the loss of your/our Loved One. You/we are very proud to have had such a person as Pastor Roberts to be the glue that tied your/our familes together. We will all feel the void, although his legacy will remain with us for ages to come! There was - in my opinion - none quite like him! He built this Church and community on love, strength, compassion, acceptance, and determination! With that in mind, we should make a note to ourselves not to let the work of Pastor Roberts be for naught! We ALL come short of the glory of God, but why not do our best to emulate this strong LEADER in some kind of way to honor his legacy. We can't BE him, but we can use the talent(s) that God has given us, whether big or small. We should never forget what he stood for! I also am very glad to have had a chance to acknowledge the personhood of Pastor Roberts with my, poem, "There He Is" - it was an honor and privilege to have had the opportunity to express what (little) talent God has given to (even) me. Thank you, and I will forever be grateful!

Love and God Bless!

God bless the family of Pastor Roberts and also to the Mt. Calvary family. An awesome man of God has been lost here on earth but heaven has gained an angel. I thank him for the impact he had on my life and will always cherish the memories.

May you find peace and comfort in the days to come, as our beloved pastor is being welcomed home and embraced in God's loving arms. Let his life works be a testimony to the promises of God. Give thought to how he provided a guiding light to God's path to so many lives through out the many years he was granted. How his statue was like a rock that never wavered. Then have comfort in knowing that our heavenly father will say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant. Welcome home."
