Warren Vincent Massaro Jr., 93, resident of Longwood at Oakmont and formerly of New Kensington, passed away on Thursday November 30, 2023.
Warren was born in New Castle, PA, on July 25th, 1930 to the late Dr. Warren V. Massaro Sr. and Helena Fazzone Massaro.
He was a graduate of Arnold High School and received a bachelor’s degree as well as two master’s degrees. Warren was a guidance counselor at Kiski, and also taught at Knoch, and Valley High Schools.
He was a member of Mt. St. Peter Church. He enjoyed bingo and playing chess and devoted many hours to studying the game. He was passionate about learning and studied 10 different languages. An avid trivia fan, Warren took pride in his encyclopedic knowledge.
Warren served stateside in the Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
Warren is preceded in death by his beloved wife Theresa Bruno Massaro. He is survived by his brother William Massaro (Angie), nieces, and their children, and dear friend Cindy, who stood by his side. He will surely be missed.
His friends and family would like to thank the staff at Longwood at Oakmont and Bridges Hospice for their compassionate care.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 7th in Ross G. Walker Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Rd, New Kensington, at 9:30am followed by service outside of mass at 11am and burial at Oakmont-Verona Cemetery.
