Twila J. Sneed

Twila Jean Allen Sneed, 65, of New Kensington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. She was born November 20, 1954, in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Brice Henry Allen Sr. and Edy Elizabeth Brooks Allen.

Twila was a 1972 graduate of Pontiac Central High School. She worked on the assembly line at General Motors for 10 years before her retirement. Twila enjoyed playing cards with her sisters, drinking coffee in the morning, an occasional game of bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren. Most importantly, Twila loved her family, and her family loved her.

Survivors include her children, Bryan K. Allen Sr., Jeronica Allen, Jerome S. (Mary) Allen Jr., Willisha Sneed, Anthony Sneed, and Brittney Sneed; grandchildren, Gabriella Palermo, Antwan Taylor, Marquise Allen, Angelique Owens, Myaunna Allen, Brandon Allen, Bryan K. Allen Jr., Damaris Allen, Nadia Allen, Aidan Allen, Brianna Allen, Donnasia Allen, Trinity Sanders, Gregory Jones, Jazrah Allen, Javeriah Allen, Jerome S. Allen III, Jameerah Allen, Sunnie-Rae Sneed, Aviyonna Sneed, N’riya Ballard, and Nasaan Sneed; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Arletta Dilworth, Betty Allen, Gerald (Rose) Allen, Cheryl Jones, Cassandra Jackson, Brice H. Allen Jr., and Tamara (Kevin) Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Twila was the special Aunt to Johnnie Dilworth Jr., Khanesia Allen-Shelton, and Carlotta Allen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Willis “Sonny” Sneed; brother, Ronald Allen; and sister, Diana Johnson.

Viewing will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM in the Ross G. Walker Funeral Home Ltd., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 PM. Rev. Dr. Mitch Nickols will officiate.  Due to the current social restrictions from Covid-19, and respect for the family, only 25 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time.
