Thomas G. Hare, Jr., 62, of Plum Boro, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024.


He was born April 18, 1961 to Shirley McCullough Green of Plum, and the late George Green, and the late Thomas Hare Sr.


Tom enjoyed fishing, wood carving, sports and especially flower gardening and had previously worked in a nursery.  In his younger years, he played baseball, hockey and basketball.


Besides his mother, he is survived by his sister, Debbie (Kevin) Szymanski of West Deer Township; nieces, Jessica (Troy) Protzman, their children, Cole and Piper, Becca (Kenny) Fagen, their children, Eli and Micah, nephew, Zack (Taylor) Szymanski, and their children, Skylar, Adelyn and Donovan; aunts Irene and Janet Green; and numerous cousins.  


The family wishes to thank Merakey Personal Care Home (Russellton), and Cheswick Rehabilitation & Wellness, as well as Heritage Hospice, and everyone that participated in his care over the years.  Services were entrusted to ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., of New Kensington, with private interment at Greenwood Memorial Park.
