Terry John Burrell

Terry Burrell, 75 of Leechburg, went peacefully to be with Jesus on Monday Dec. 22, 2025. 

Born on Oct. 14, 1950 in Pittsburgh, to the late William and Lena Burrell, he was raised in New Kensington most of his life. 

Terry was a member of Rivers of Life Ministry in Arnold, and was proud to be head of security. 

He worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Mill in Brackenridge as a crane operator for 42 years. Terry was an avid fishermen and loved to camp, and was a member of the Moose in Leechburg. He was a beloved member of the community and was well known for singing, dancing, and making you laugh and smile. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was the beloved father of Justin Scates of Export, Jordan (Brooke) Burrell of Leechburg, Kacey (Andre) Samuels of New Kensington. Grandfather of Daija, Graylee, and Gavin Burrell.

Survived by siblings Janice and Diane Burrell of New Kensington, Helena (Duane) Ashley of Pittsburgh, and Dr. Myrna Covington of Canonsburg. Terry was also a very well loved uncle, cousin, and friend. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest brother William Burrell Jr. and sister, Ellamae Thomas.

Viewing will be on Sunday December 28, from 5:00-8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be on Monday December 29, at 11:00 AM at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home in New Kensington, and he will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
