Susan Ann Groskin

Susan Ann Groskin, 73, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2020. She was born February 5, 1947, in Altoona to the late Dr. Gerald and Roberta Neal Groskin. 

She graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in both psychology and sociology. Susan worked as an investigator for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She was a talented artist, especially, with pastels and paints. In her free time, she enjoyed hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, and entertaining others. Susan loved her dog and had a love for all animals. She supported the National Audubon Society along with various other environmental conservation groups.

Susan is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Thompson of Burke, VA; brothers, Richard (Alice) Groskin of Wilson, NC and Robert Groskin of Altoona, PA; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Danielle, Jason, Jacob, and Mary; her dog, Rugby; and cat, Pretty Boy. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
