Steven Maurice Martin Obituary

Steven Maurice Martin was brought into the world on June 24, 1970.  He was a gift that would continuously be opened throughout the years of his life.

Above all else, Steven was saved and loved God with all of his heart.  Anyone who met him could tell that there was something different and spiritual about him.  He was very open about his relationship with God and was a faithful witness of God's love and forgiveness.  The love of God flowed out of him.

Steven had a wonderful sense of humor and he had a smile that was so infectious that anyone around him found themselves in a better mood after leaving his presence.  He was a good listener and had a compassionate heart.  Steve was a pure and gentle spirit.  Whenever you were in his presence, he was in the moment with you.  He genuinely cared about people and would help anyone who needed it.  He would listen attentively and would give you Godly advice if you needed it. He was an authentic soul.

Steven graduated from Frankford High School and received a diploma from the Art Institute of Philadelphia as a Layout and Production Artist.

Steven leaves to cherish his memory his mother Apostle Pamela (Long) Martin, father Richard L. Martin, Jr., brother Rich Martin, sister Nykeia Martin, the love of his life, Lelanya Durbin, goddaughter Aaliyah Bell, Aunt, Garnet Booker (Joe), Aunt & Uncle Apostle Barbara and Bishop Ron Martin, Aunt, Annette Griffin a host of adopted aunts, nieces, cousins, close friends and coworkers.

It has been said that we are better people because of how Steve enriched each of our lives. His vibrant personality and open heart made it a joy to be around him.  Although we will miss his physical presence, we know that he will always be with us in spirit and in love.
