Sharon Frances Wiles, 72, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
She was born in Indianola on September 13, 1953 to the late John & Sylvia Scott Kolich.
Mrs. Wiles was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church of New Kensington. She also belonged to the Alle-Kiski Senior Citizens Center of New Kensington, and was a Girl Scout Leader for many years.
Sharon particularly enjoyed crafts, following the Pittsburgh Pirates and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She was an ophthalmologist assistant for several local doctors and also worked at St. Margaret UPMC.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, David Russell Wiles; children, Tonya Lynn John (Chris Bayer) of Lower Burrell, Heather Ann Smalley of New Kensington, David R. Wiles Jr. of Lake Avon, OH, and Brandon John Wiles of New Kensington; grandchildren, Amber (Jimmy) Shirley, Sean Stuben, Kiersten (Aaron) Miller, Brendan Kohnle, Peyton and Jessica Smalley, David Wiles III, and Madison and Olivia Wiles; great-grandchildren, Addison Takosky, Carson Bayer, Everly Shirley, Maverick Miller, Dawson Miller, Jerry Mallett, and Beckham Kohnle; as well as siblings, Pamela (Gary “G”) Kolich-Herr of Florida and Scott (Leslie) Ward of Maryland.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jackie Ward; and granddaughter, Brittany.
Viewing will be on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. A Christian Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 14, at 11AM in St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, 857 Kenneth Avenue, New Kensington. Anyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the church. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
