Scarlett Evonne Shoop, 5, of New Kensington passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2021, surrounded by her loving family after a heroic four-year battle with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). Born in Pittsburgh on June 8, 2015; she was the beloved daughter of Samantha Jo Shoop and John W. Sylvester.
Scarlett loved her family, music, and butterflies.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Jenna M. Sylvester; brother, Adam J. Sylvester; maternal grandparents, Kelly and Michelle Shoop; paternal grandparents, Bob (Peg) Sylvester; uncles, Kameron Shoop and Jayson Sylvester; aunt, Jess Sylvester; and her dog, Lou.
