Samuel "Sam" Febbraio

Sam Febbraio, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. 

He was born July 28, 1946, in New Kensington to the late Joseph & Mary Cerniglia Febbraio and was a 1964 graduate of Ken-Hi.

Sam worked at the New Ken Boat Club at the age of 15.  At the age of 18 he worked at Ar-Ken Plumbing where he learned the plumbing trade.  He was a Senior Staff Tech at ALCOA Tech Center for for 31 years before retiring in 1991. 

Sam was known as “DJ Sam” for over 40 years, playing music and karaoke at many local clubs, bars and weddings and donated much of his DJ services to charities.  He was an avid fisherman his entire life. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Diana in 2008, and brother Larry in 2021.  

Survivors include his daughter Michelene “Mikki” (Frank) Ross; and longtime companion Barb Spiering Ciuffoletti.

He will be sorely missed by all.  

Private viewing and services will be held in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., of New Kensington.  Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
