Sadie Toney

Sadie Toney, 90, of New Kensington, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. She was a New Kensington resident most of her life.  

She was born in New Kensington on November 4, 1934 to the late George & Martha Aboud Toney, and was a 1952 graduate of Ken-Hi.  She then graduated from Carnegie College in Cleveland, and a business college in Pittsburgh, and was a lab technician for the Goodyear Rubber Company in Liberia, Africa for four years. After she returned to the United States, she was a lab technician at Allegheny Valley Hospital, and Shadyside Hospital.  She enjoyed traveling by train, bus and plane, and spending time reading in the Peoples Library of New Kensington.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Albert, Michael and John “Hubby” Toney; and sisters, Rachel Adams & Mary Toaso.  

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Private arrangements were entrusted to ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., of New Kensington.
