Ruth Rose Stewart

Ruth Rose Stewart, 71, of Latrobe and formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024.  

She was born December 9, 1952, in Pittsburgh to the late Paul & Luella Hitchings Stewart, and was a Registered Nurse graduate of the Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing in New Kensington.  She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Pittsburgh for ten years. 

She enjoyed flower gardening with her husband, and especially enjoyed growing peppers and tomatoes.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, David Harmon Crusan; three children, Ruth Ann, Paula and William VanTine; 12 grandchildren; and siblings Mabel (Abner) Grossman, Paul J. Stewart, and Francis Stewart. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy and Janey, and brother William “Billy” Stewart. 

Private services were entrusted to ROSS G. WALKER of New Kensington.
