Ruth Ann (Diggs) Jefferson

Ruth Ann Diggs Jefferson, 98, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024. She was born February 6, 1926 in Wickhaven, to the late Winfred & Luvinia Rose Diggs and was an Arnold resident most of her life. Mrs. Jefferson was a self-employed licensed beautician and really enjoyed making people beautiful. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of New Kensington, and enjoyed bingo, gardening, sewing and crocheting, cooking, and making quilts.  She most enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Raymond (Jacqueline) Jefferson, Jr. of Solon, OH, Roxann Davis of Arnold and Roulette (Minister Sylvester) Price of Pittsburgh; five grandsons, Gerald, Jonathan, Ramar, Reggie and Anthony; and five great-grandchildren, Malique, Genevieve, Zaire, Jaden and Isaiah; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond; nine brothers, Joseph, Walter, Winfred, Israel, Lloyd, Leonard, Floyd, John R., and Reecel; four sisters, Queen, Elizabeth, Doris and Grace. Viewing will be 10AM until funeral services at noon on Saturday, August 17, in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
