Rose Mae Kemp, 79, of New Kensington went home to be with the Lord on Thursday October 13, 2022. Rose was born February 23, 1943, in Whitsett, PA to the late Hurshel H. Sr. and Mary (Claytor) Ackles.
She was a graduate of Ken-Hi, Class of 1962 and attended Dayspring Bible School in Tarentum and Hardy Bible School in Vandergrift. Rose had a fierce faith in the Lord, and truly loved studying the bible, giving witness, and preaching the word, and ministering the people as an Associate Pastor at her church, St. Paul Baptist Church of Oakmont, where she also taught Sunday School and was active in the Ladies Missionary Group. Her passion for Christ in her community led her to touch countless lives. She was an avid sports fan, regularly watching tennis, college football, and basketball. Above all, she was a tenderhearted and sweet woman who was devoted to her entire family.
She will be missed daily by her beloved husband, William C. Kemp Sr.; her adored children, Desiree L. (Douglas) Whitacre and William C. (Shirley) Kemp Jr.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Hurshel (Jo Ann) Ackles Jr., who died one day later, Lillian Owens, Carl (Betty) Ackles, George (Eunice) Ackles, and Cora (Rich) McDonald.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marie Lewis, Wanda Johnson, Norma Ackles; and brothers, Albert and William Ackles.

Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul Baptist Church, 180 Delaware Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. Please go directly to church on Wednesday. Pastor Reid Greene will officiate.
