Robert William Wurmb, Sr.

Robert William Wurmb, Sr., 71 of Tarentum and formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully, at home, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Christmas Day, 1954 to the late Robert W. and Dolores J. Wimer Wurmb, and was a New Kensington resident most of his life.  He was a 1972 graduate of Valley High School, then entered the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam.  Corporal Wurmb was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.  He was an “over the road” truck driver for most of his career.  

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Pam Leseski Wurmb; children, Robert W. (Kelly) Wurmb, Jr., Richard (Jessica) Wurmb, and Lynndee (Shawn) Sieminski; grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Alyssa, Nikki, Emory and Lainey; and siblings, Charles (Beverly) Wurmb, Edward (Sandy) Wurmb, Clair (Cathy) Wurmb and Cheryl (Joseph) Ploski.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Nicholas Hooks, and a sister, Dale Wurmb.  

Viewing will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 4-6 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where military honors will be conferred at 5PM by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.
