Robert J. Stimel

Robert J. Stimel, 86, of Upper Burrell Township, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Brackenridge on May 5, 1938, to the late John and Helen Duran Stimel, and graduated from Har-Brack High School.  He then served in the Army and was a lab technician for ALCOA, retiring in 1993.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce (Myers) Stimel; cherished sons, Richard Stimel and Edward (Stacy) Stimel; his cherished granddaughter, Avery Stimel; former daughter-in-law, Renee Weimer; and also leaves behind his brothers, John and George Stimel, and sisters, Carol Koenig, Geraldine Leslie and Lori Luc.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie McElhaney, and brothers-in-law Robert Koenig, Fred Leslie and Robert McElhaney.

Honoring his wishes, there will be no viewing, however, friends are invited to a blessing service to be held at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 11am.
