Robert John Fiedor

Robert John Fiedor, 80, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Born June 28, 1943 in Hartford, CT, to the late John & Edith (Thon) Fiedor,  he graduated from Reade Township High School, then attended Penn State University.  He served in the Army from 1968-1969 during the Vietnam War.  

Mr. Fiedor was a general office employee and senior staff quality control engineer for PPG Industries.  He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and also belonged to Ducks Unlimited.  

Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed all aspects of nature.  He loved hunting, especially duck hunting at Pymatuning with friends and family.  He also enjoyed gardening, genealogy and spending time with his family, including his beloved dog and companion Ollie. 

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jane L. (Rouzer) Fiedor; children, Lynne Anne Fiedor, Dawn Michelle (Donald) Kastelic, and Craig Ian Fiedor; three grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah Brandon (Kayla); and siblings, Bill (Loretta) Fiedor, Susan Krepps and Janice (Gary) Sturniolo.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Seth Jacenty Fiedor.

Viewing will be on Monday, October 16, from 5-8PM and Tuesday October 17 from 10am until services at 11am in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Burial with Military Honors conducted by the Army, will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
