Richard J. Leipertz, 86, of Apollo, formerly from Sarver, passed away peacefully in the care of Quality Life Services on Thursday, July 29, 2021. He was born in Natrona Heights, on January 10, 1935 to the late Frank J. and Ella (Smith) Leipertz.
Richard worked as a bricklayer for Local No. 9 and retired as a construction superintendent for Swindell/Dressler in Pittsburgh, PA. He worked in China Indonesia, Germany, Korea, Venezuela, and many states within the U.S. Richard built two of his primary residences. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Pittsburgh sports. He was a member of the Leechburg Elks and Eagles.
Richard is survived by his sons, Richard A. (Millie) Leipertz and Douglas (Pamela) Leipertz; son-in-law, David Keirn; grandsons, Richard J. Leipertz, Adam T. Leipertz, Douglas (Tiffany) Leipertz, Cory Keirn, and Tanner Keirn; great-grandson, Ryder Keirn; brothers, Donald F. (Marilyn) Leipertz and Frank J. Leipertz; sisters, Martha J. McCamey and Carol (Victor) Quinio; and French bulldog, Buddy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne (Cornman) Leipertz and daughter, Jodi Lynn Keirn.
