Colonel (Ret) Raymond R. Wallace, 86, of Fauquier County, Virginia, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 28, 2024, surrounded by family and clergy. He was born March 25, 1937, son of the late Stanley and Ann Wallace.
He is survived by his sister Judy Wallace, his brother Gerald Wallace, his former wife, Judy Cercone, his four sons: David Wallace, Jeffrey Wallace, Todd Wallace and Michael Wallace. He was close to his brother Kenneth Wallace and his daughter Kathy Lee, both deceased.
Raymond was well regarded as a Colonel in the US Army. He was the recipient of The Army Commendation Medal and consistently achieved superior marks in performance and learning during his service. During Raymond’s career, he attended Navy War College.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, February 9th, 2024, at 11:00am in St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, 857 Kenneth Avenue, New Kensington. He will be entombed by his wife Jeannette Mildred Wallace in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., of New Kensington was entrusted with the arrangements.
