Rachelle "Rachel" Rogan Obituary

Rachel Marie Rogan, 42, of Penn Hills, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at UPMC Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 21, 1982, in Houston, Texas to Karen M. (Johnson) Moore and Roy D. Rogan.

Rachel was a graduate of Highlands High School in 2000 and received her Bachelor's in Arts and Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2005.
Rachel began her career as part of the Therapeutic Support Staff at The Watson Institute, she was a Disability Therapy Counselor at Mercy Behavioral Health, Service Coordinator at Life Pittsburgh, Director/COO at Three Rivers Center for Independent Living (TRICL), and Center Administrator at Community Life (Logan's Ferry).
Rachel was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, Tarentum, PA, the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and was proudly involved with the Autistic Society of Pittsburgh. Rachel loved spending time with her children, reading, watching old movies and listening to Gospel and R&B music.
Rachel is survived to cherish her beautiful life by her Daughter; Laila Marie Strothers (17) and Son; Bryce Jaxon McClendon (11) both of Penn Hills, Mother;·Karen M. Moore, Step-Father; James H. Moore, Jr. of Natrona Heights, and Father; Roy D. Rogan of Houston, Texas. Uncles Ronald (Deborah) Greene of New Kensington, PA and Kevin (Tammy) Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; her extended family; Brothers; James (Janelle) H. Moore, Ill of Manassas, Virginia, Jay Walker of Pittsburgh, Josh Walker of Jeannette, PA; Sister; Bernadine Moore of Indiana, PA; Uncles; William (Darlene) Moore and Roger Moore both of Slickville, PA, God-Daughter; Azariah Williamson of New Kensington, PA and beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her Paternal Grandparents; James and Mary Rogan and Uncle Douglas Rogan of Indianapolis, IN.
Rachel was preceded in death by her maternal Grandparents; John G. Johnson, Jr. and Ruth M. Johnson, Uncle Randolph S. Greene and Brother Joel H. Moore. Also; Paternal Grandparents; James H. Moore, Sr., LeeAnna Moore, Uncle John Moore and Nephew James (Jayme) Moore.
Her biggest pride and joy are her two children, and she will always be remembered for her warmth and unwavering spirit, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and strength that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. She was beautiful both inside and out.

Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Rachel's lite on Saturday, December 28, 2024, beginning with a "Zeta Tribute" at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 250 7th & Western, Tarentum, PA followed by a "Celebration of Life" at 11:00 a.m. with her Pastor the Rev. Linda W. Moore officiating.
Private arrangements were entrusted to Ross G. Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Center, New Kensington, PA.
