Nettie Marie (Wolfe) Menhart

Nettie Marie Menhart, 65, of Gilpin Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 27, 2024. 

Nettie was born on May 11, 1958 in Natrona Heights, to the late Leonard Wolfe and Mary Adams Wolfe.

Nettie worked as a supervisor at Flabeg and worked prior to that at Jennsport in New Kensington. She was a graduate of HarBrack High School and earned her Associate Degree in medical billing from the Newport Business Institute.

Nettie enjoyed playing bingo, watching football games, bird watching, spending time with her family and grandchildren, adding to her collection of unicorn figurines, and being near the ocean. She also loved country music and concerts, especially Blake Shelton. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ed Menhart, sisters Glenda Wolfe and Virginia Briestensky, and niece Denise Copney.

Nettie is survived by sons Eddie (Trish) Menhart and Shawn (Kylee) Menhart, six grandchildren Kristopher, Alex, Lyssa, Drake, Logan, and Joseph, as well as several nieces and nephews including Erica Copney. She is also survived by her siblings Loretta Bash, Butch, and Randy Wolfe.

Viewing will take place on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road in New Kensington, PA 15068 where a funeral service by Reverend Dean Ward will begin at 11am on Friday, February 2, 2024. Private burial will follow.
