Nekisha Adarae D'Argan

Nekisha Adarae D’Argan, 41 of Pittsburgh earned her wings and went peacefully home to the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born in New Kensington on March 19, 1981 to Nina (Taper) Scott and Robert Scott Jr. 

Nekisha was a woman of deep integrity, strength, beauty and grace. Anyone who met her was sure to be captivated by her infectious charisma. Nekisha was also a dedicated mother and her children were her heartbeat. Spending time with them was her favorite place to be. She was known for always setting up creative activities to do as a family on holidays or even regular days. She was a hard-worker and a jack of all trades. She did many different jobs ranging from caregiving, hospitality or food service due to her immaculate people skills. Nekisha loved games of chance. Casino trips and local bingo nights were her small pleasures. In addition, she was a fierce cook in the kitchen, always experimenting with new recipes, as well as a genuine music enjoyer. Music moved her soul. Nekisha’s unwavering belief in god led her daily and she was an embodiment of what love is even when life is not perfect. 

She will be forever missed by her beloved children, India and Roman D’Argan; parents Nina (Taper) Scott and Robert Scott Jr.; brother Robert “Bobby” Scott III; grandmother Geraldine D’Argan; her lifetime partner/father of her children, Thomas E. Houser and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Nekisha joins in heaven: Xavier Michael D’Argan (son), Grace Scott (grandmother),Thelma M. Taper (great-grandmother), Dempsey Nolen (great-greatfather); David D’Argan Sr. (grandfather); uncles: David “Tony” D’Argan, Orlando “Lanny” D’Argan, and Juan D’Argan; great aunts/uncles Lois & Curly Green, Christine Taper Kitchens and cousins: Tanell Williams and Christopher Garland.
