Nancy Joan Stowers, 88, formerly of the Alle-Kiski Valley, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
She was born in Punxsutawney on June 21, 1937 to the late Wilbert V. & Helen E. Ott Hall, and grew up in Jefferson County.
Mrs. Stowers was a cashier and later stocker at the former Montgomery Wards Store in Lower Burrell.
Surviving are her three children, Franklin L. Stowers Jr. of Gilpin Township, Jeffrey W. Stowers of Butler and Nancy “Jill” Shirley of Castle Shannon; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings Dick (Gerry) Hall, Wilbert (Priscilla) Hall and Marilyn Carner.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin L. Stowers Sr., in 2016; son, Scott Stowers; grandson, Franklin L. Stowers III; and siblings, Ronald, Fred and Robert Hall, Martha Bair, Mary Herbert and Virginia Bicker.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 10AM until services at 11AM by Rev. Dean Ward, in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
