Michelle Renee Mator

Michelle Renee Mator, of New Kensington, was born October 31, 1963 and passed on September 18th, 2025 at the age of 61, due to a stroke. 

She is survived by her children Joshua (Hana) Mator and Adam Mator and siblings John (Debra) Mator II, Beth (Victor) Lopez, and Kimberly (Chad) Baker. 

Michelle was preceded in death by her son Matthew, in infancy, parents John Mator and Dorothy (McCutcheon) Mator, and siblings Elizabeth Rose, Christopher and Mark, all in infancy, and Randall Mator.

Michelle was a helping, caring, and loving person who liked making sure her friends had everything they needed. As a child she loved ballet and tap dance as well as spending time at the family business, Melwood Pool. She enjoyed making people happy, smiling, singing, walking, thrifting and going shopping, crafting, gardening, feeding the birds, and going to church. She loved her houseplants, fish, and the stray cats in her neighborhood that she cared deeply for and would help socialize so they could find homes. She was always eager to lend a hand, see who needed help, and assist in every way she could. She remained inquisitive and helpful her whole life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at their camp, helping her friends and neighbors, and being active in her community. She was a loving and caring person who will be deeply missed.

Viewing will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM by Pastor Brian Baker.  Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
