Michael Dale McSparrin, 64, of Natrona Heights died at Forbes Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021. He was born in New Kensington on Feb. 23, 1957 to the late Dale Ebbert and Emma Louise Hall McSparrin.
Michael was a patriotic man, and proudly served as an Inventory Management Specialist and earned Sargent rank in the United States Air Force. He worked as a manufacturing manager in the telecommunications field and retired from Tollgrade Communications Inc., formerly of Cheswick. Above all, Michael was devoted to his family, especially his four grandchildren who affectionately called him “Pap-Pap”. This was the role he loved and cherished most in his life, whether he was accompanying them to an amusement park or the zoo; he never missed any of their activities. In his early years, he was an avid collector of coins and hobby trains; and loved kicking back with his fishing rod.
Michael will be so deeply missed for his unwavering faithfulness, loyalty, and influential role he had on his family. He is survived by his two sons, Nicholas E. (Erin) McSparrin of Natrona Heights, and Matthew J. McSparrin of Freeport; grandkids, Joseph, Morgan, Zachary, and Molly McSparrin; brothers, Leslie McSparrin of Indianapolis, IN, and Patrick (Chris) McSparrin, of High Ridge, MO; and sisters, Jeanette “Sissy” (Tim) McSparrin-Reese of Augusta, GA, and Patricia (Calvin) Johns of Ford City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy McSparrin; and niece in infancy, Christine McSparrin.
