Michael Thomas Kaminski, 70, of Arnold, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
He was born February 5, 1955 in Pittsburgh to the late Thaddeus F. & Frances Volek Kaminski, and was a 1973 graduate of Valley High School in New Kensington. He also attended the University of Pittsburgh.
Survivors include his brother Gregory T. (Susan) Kaminski of Sewickley and their children, Grace Kaminski, Jane (John-Paul Runyan) Kaminski and Anne (Danny) Ryan. “Uncle Mike” loved his nieces; they will miss him tremendously.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister in childhood, Michele A. Kaminski, in 1963.
The family wants to acknowledge Michael’s uncle, Andre Volek, for his support for Michael.
Private services were entrusted to Ross G. Walker.
Mike struggled with mental illness throughout his adult life. Despite that, he spent countless hours working on his music. The extended Kaminski family will always remember Michael’s musical talents. He was always guaranteed to play the piano at every holiday gathering. He also had extensive knowledge of fossils, enjoying collecting and studying them.
Mike and his family received support over the years from NAMI. If you are interested, please consider a donation in Mike’s name to NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania. www.namikeystonepa.org
