Maxine Elizabeth (Chidester) Radovitch

Maxine Elizabeth Radovitch, 87, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

She was born in Oakmont on April 4, 1938 to the late Eli & Olean White Chidester, and was a 1956 graduate of Oakmont High School.  

Ms. Radovitch was a longtime baker for the Oakmont Bakery, prior to which she baked for Stoecklein Bakery in Blawnox and Periwinkles in Harmar Township.  

Maxine was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family as well as her pet cats and dogs.  She also enjoyed swimming in her pool.  

Survivors include her children, Karen Maxine (Clair) Faith, Robin Lee (Jimmy) Kralik, Alex “Butch” P. (Tracy) Radovitch, Dennis P. Radovitch, Shawn M. Barr and Jamie Lee Barr (Brad Orloski); and many grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren.  

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie Radovitch Viegas; and her siblings, Orville Frank Chidester and Rosella Bayer Dixon,

Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 17 from 5-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will take place Thursday at 11am.  Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
