Mary Agnes (Pajerski) Hess

Mary Hess, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on August 25, 2025 at the age of 92, exactly one month from her 93rd birthday. A woman of deep Catholic faith, she lived her life with devotion, grace, and strength—always tiny but mighty in spirit.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Sophia (Ziemianski), step-mother Hazel Pajerski, brothers Louis, Chester, Lloyd, and Joey and was born in Newfield, PA. Mary was proud of her Polish heritage and spiritual faith and carried it with joy throughout her life. She was married to the love of her life, Richard Hess, who predeceased her ten years ago. Their marriage was a beautiful example of faith, commitment, and family and they had 61 wonderful years of marriage together. 

Mary is survived by her daughter, Pamela Ann Klopsic (Hess) and her husband, Albert Klopsic, her three grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer Cavalieri (Matthew), Joshua Klopsic (Mariah) and Emily Skyrm (Matthew); and her five great-grandchildren, Luciano, Bella, Hunter, Lily and Albert, who brought endless joy and laughter to her days. She also leaves behind dear sister-in-law, Nancy Pajerski and nephews and niece Chester (Beverly), Richard (Valerie), Marianne, Fr. Daniel Pajerski, and Stephen (Alicia) and all of their children.

Known for her radiant, spunky spirit and great skin, Mary had a zest for life that touched all who knew her. She loved the color blue, cherished time with her family, and never wavered in her faith. To those around her, she was a source of strength, love, and wisdom—a true matriarch whose legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.

Visitation will be held at the Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main St., Mantua, NJ 08051 on Thursday, August 28 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Memorial Prayer Service following. Another Visitation will be held Saturday, August 30 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Rd., New Kensington, PA 15068.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary Czestochowa RC Church, 857 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lower Burrell, PA. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.
