Martha L. Johnston Obituary

Martha L. Johnston, 86, of Kittanning passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021. She was born Nov. 18, 1935 in New Kensington to the late David and Elizabeth Byrd Ramsden.

Martha had a soft and gentle demeanor. She loved to play cards, watch television, and listen to music. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her tender heart, warm spirit, and everlasting love. We will miss her daily presence in our lives and cherish the memories made with her that will continue to comfort and guide us.

She leaves behind her daughter, Deborah (Jeffrey) Jones; sons, Teddy, Tommy, and David Johnston; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Jones Jr., Fred (Brogan) Jones, Nikki (Damian) Glass, Andre Johnston, and Jason Johnston; 10 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Johnston; daughter, Delores Johnston; and five siblings, Delores Lindow, Mary Jane Dzugan, Edna Mae Dzugan, Jeannie Stankiewicz, and Bill Ramsden.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. on Thursday, Dec. 30 at MJ’s Bar & Grille, 1735 Fourth Ave, New Kensington. ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington was entrusted with the arrangements.
