Martha A. Heltion Schuller, 88, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
She was born in New Kensington on December 19, 1936, to the late Charles A. & Clifteener F. Lipscomb Heltion, and was a 1954 graduate of Ken-Hi.
Martha was a dietician at the former Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington for many years, and a former member of Harvest Baptist Church, and enjoyed cooking for her family and church.
Surviving are her children, Barbara (Gordy-deceased) Ambrosi of Allegheny Township, Brenda (Jeff Sr.) Hurlbut of Kittanning, Tammy (Frank-deceased) Scalise of Leechburg, Joyce (Darryl-deceased) Burley of Apollo, and Ralph T. (Lisa) Schuller, Jr., of Yorktown, VA; grandchildren, April (Rob) Iseman, Melissa (Mike) Ambrosi, Jeffrey Hurlbut, Jr., Tisha (Rob) Rollinger, Mindy (Derrick Gilmer) Dombroski, Angela Burley, and Emily (Dominic) Cicolini; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Joseph, Isabella, Caleb, and Benjamin Iseman, Madison, Emma and Hailey Ambrosi, Brady and Abigail Rollinger, Brice and Brandin Gilmer, Aidan and Gavin Burley, and Dominic, Giuliana and Leo Cicolini; and siblings, Margaret, Robert “Bob,” Gertrude “Billie,” Raymond “Poncho,” and Dolly.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ralph T. Schuller, Sr., in 2003, and siblings, Pete, Virginia, Marie, Lucy and Joe.
Viewing will be on Sunday, July 27, from 5-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held Monday, July 28, at 11am by Rev. Dean Ward. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
