Martha Arlene Gumbert (Kelley), 86, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 29, 2024.
Martha was an outstanding seamstress and baker. She took great joy in creating clothes and Halloween costumes for her grandchildren and was especially proud of her famous holiday cookie baking, which she shared generously with loved ones. Martha and her late husband, Frank, also cherished their time spent with close friends at "Couples Card Club" and enjoyed dancing, especially enjoyed doing the Jitterbug. Martha and Frank will always be remembered for their dedication to their friends and their deep love and devotion to family.
As an active member of Grace United Presbyterian Church in Lower Burrell, Martha found solace and community in her faith. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and a very active member of the church community. She also volunteered with Project SEED in New Kensington. She devoted her time to her hobbies of sewing and baking, her family and her church. Martha found delight and comfort by sharing her creations, love, affection and faith with those around her.
Martha served in her professional life as a Personal Assistant to the late Floyd R. Ganassi. Her career with Mr. Ganassi was marked by her exceptional management skills, attention to detail and her deep loyalty and dedication to her work and the Ganassi Family. She supported Mr. Ganassi in his many business and personal ventures including Davison Sand and Gravel, Ganassi Racing, The FRG group, and Manor Assets.
A dedicated wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great Grandmother and homemaker, Martha leaves behind a legacy of love and care. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer K. Pallone (Robert); brother, Jacob Kelley (Barbara); granddaughter, Maureen Tayler (Samuel); grandsons, Robert Pallone, Jr. and Ryan F. Pallone, Esq. and Great Grandson Dominic J. Taylor. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Gertrude (Clark) Kelley, Sister in-law Barbara Kelley (Jacob), mother and father in-law Milo and Mary Gumbert and her husband, Francis C. Gumbert (2002).
A private viewing and services for Martha were held at the Ross G. Walker Funeral Home LTD in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, where compassionate assistance was provided to her family during this time of loss. Private Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
