Martha Elizabeth (Ortman) Felt

Martha E. (Ortman) Felt, 100, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home in Brackenridge. 

Born March 1, 1923 in New Kensington, she was a daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Lillian Heavner Ortman.  She worked at Papercraft in Blawnox, and Giant Eagle Bakery in New Kensington.  She enjoyed baking, playing cards, bingo and playing the lottery.  She was a member of Arnold United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her three children, Ralph (Judith) Felt of New Kensington, Barbara (Mona Hamilton) Felt of Lower Burrell, and Dennis Felt of Cambridge, OH; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Felt, in February of 1963; her brothers, Richard Ortman Sr., Harlan Ortman and Harry Ortman, Jr.; and her sisters, Louise Hanyo, Dorothy Milsom, Ruth Heyer and Arveda Talioni; grandson, Adam Felt; granddaughter Robyn Felt; and great-granddaughter, Nicole Felt.

Viewing will be on Sunday, August 27, from 3-7 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held Monday, August 28, at 11:00 AM by Reverend Dean Ward.  Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
