Marjorie B. Hepler, 93, resident of New Kensington, passed away on Sunday December 3rd, 2023.
Marjorie was born on January 25th, 1930 to the late William Powell and Lillian Beck Powell.
She was a talented seamstress and served the community with her work on clothing, including custom garments and wedding gowns. She was gifted her first sewing machine by her beloved husband Bill Arnold. Margie was well-known in the community for her high-quality craftsmanship and passion for sewing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in New Kensington and enjoyed gospel music like the Bill Gaither Trio.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her first husband, William Arnold, and second husband, Harry “Skip” Hepler and her siblings Clarence Powell, Roy Powell, Florence Miller, Ray Powell, and Ralph Powell.
She is survived by her children Debra Arnold Claypoole (John Buka) and William K. Arnold (Lois Mears), as well as grandchildren Mindy (Chad) Corridoni, Rev. Jason (Stephanie) Arnold, and Casey (Major Kristopher) Italiano, and great-grandchildren Audrey, Annabelle, Grayson, Gianna, Adam, Isaac, and Eamon. Her granddaughters carry on her art of sewing.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 8th, from 2 - 4pm and from 5 - 8pm in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Funeral service will be held on Saturday December 9th at 11am by Rev. Dean Ward, followed by private burial at Greenwood Memorial Park.
