Marilyn E. Lubiano, 76, of New Kensington passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was born in Uniontown on June 26, 1945, to the late Thomas J. and Isa Mae Hastie.
Marilyn was a member at Allegheny Valley Church of God. She enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music with her sisters, cooking, sewing, and her pets; especially her African grey parrot, Anna. She cherished time spent with her beloved grandchildren. She graduated from Hardy Baptist Bible School and Germantown High School. She often spent time sitting on the porch talking to her sister, Rose Marie.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Robert Jones, Marvin Jones, David Jones Sr., Christopher Jones, and Tonya Jones; grandchildren, Alexandria, David Jr., India, Asia, Ashley, DaShawn, Isaiah, Hezekiah, Deante, Noah, Evan, Mady, Miranda, Rachel, Ian; great-grandson, David III, great-granddaughter Stella; five siblings, Gwendolyn Nichols, Thelma Knox, Benjamin Knox, Joni Taylor, and Casey Knox; in laws, Michael Lubiano Jr, Anthony Lubiano, Juanita Hughley, Lillian Armstead, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Glenn A. Lubiano; grandson, Elijah Puryear; siblings, Thomas Knox, Audrey Jones, Denise Alexander, Rose Marie Green, Ramona Taylor, Samuel Knox, Sylvester Knox, Fredrick Knox, Keith Knox, and Stanley Knox in infancy; in-laws Leslie Lubiano, and James Threatte.
Viewing will be from 10:00AM until time of funeral service at 1:00PM at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 FREEPORT ROAD, NEW KENSINGTON. Her sister, Pastor Gwendolyn Nichols will officiate.
