Margaret White

Margaret “Peggy Jean” (Rice) White, 93, of Springdale died peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday October 3, 2022.  Peggy Jean was born April 28, 1929, in New Kensington to the late Edgar C. and Lucilla (Carlson) Rice.  

She was graduate of New Kensington High School class of 1947 and went on to be employed as a bookkeeper for The Aluminum Company of America in New Kensington from 1947-1951 and later for Tubular Service in Springdale from 1952- 1954. Peggy Jean held a strong faith in God and was a lifelong member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Kensington. She loved to bowl and was a member of the reunion committee for Ken-High.  

She had the sweetest spirit and the warmest heart which will be missed daily by her two sons Jeffrey S. (Lisa) White of Evans City, and Daniel K. (Pamela) White of New Kensington; her beloved three grandsons Connor (Danni), Jacob, and Keith (Mindy) White; her great-grandsons Tanner, Talan, Toby, and Tucker; and sister-in-law Marlene Rice.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Charles W. “Bill” White; an infant son at birth; brother Patrick J. Rice; and her parents Edgar and Lucilla Carlson Rice.
