Marcia Jane Mueller, 87, formerly of Harmar, Lower Burrell, and Lexington Park, MD passed away July 31, 2021, in Callaway, Maryland.
She was born December 10, 1933 in Overbrook, to the late James and Martha Ball Davidson, and was also preceded in death by her husband John Charles Mueller, Sr., and brothers, Melvin and James Stuart Davidson.
Mrs. Mueller grew up in Overbrook and Dormont and was a legal secretary in Pittsburgh and for the late R.D. McVey, Esq., in New Kensington, retiring at age 74. As a high school student, she won many typing and shorthand competitions.
She was a hard-working, kind, modest, loving and very giving person with a wry sense of humor. She always sacrificed her own pleasure for that of others. She met her husband John at a dance and raised her children on her own after he was incapacitated and took great care of him for decades until he passed. She considered her family her greatest achievement and was extraordinarily proud of her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Mueller enjoyed pets, especially dogs, one of which was a champion Welch Corgi. She especially enjoyed time and vacations with her family and occasional cruises with a small group of friends.
Surviving are her children, John C. (Marie) Mueller, Jr., of Colorado Springs, CO, William S. Mueller of Leonardtown, MD and Lois A. (Timothy) Mann of Brunswick, OH; and grandchildren, Matt Kaye, Eric, Rachel and Lukas Mann, William Stuart Mueller, Jr., Dean Mueller and Lindsey Patton.
Mrs. Mueller will be interred in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Local arrangements were entrusted to ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., of New Kensington.
