Marcia Faye Cooper

Marcia Faye (Baumann) Cooper, 85, of Allegheny Township died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born July 24, 1936 in New Kensington, the only daughter to the late August Earl “Tad” and Charlotte H. (Imm) Baumann.

Marcia was a compassionate woman, she married her childhood sweetheart Gerald R. “Coop” Cooper Sr., and together they built a home full of love where she was the ultimate homemaker and family matriarch, playing integral roles in raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They owned The Brother’s Inn of Arnold, where Marcia was always the bright smiling face of the cocktail lounge. She loved to cook and bake, crochet and knit, was a hometown Steeler fan, and loved spending time on Chautauqua Lake, NY.  After retirement Marcia and Coop headed south to Ormond Beach Florida, soaking up the sun and warmth for seven years, a place their family loved to visit them. Her tender heart and daily presence will be so deeply missed, although the everlasting memories and her sweet spirit will forever light our way and bring us continued comfort.

Marcia leaves behind her beloved children, Caryn Lloyd-Doubt, Amy (Bob) Flisek, Rod (Paulette) Cooper, Marci (Brian) Bigley, and Patrick (Beth) Cooper; cherished grandchildren, Jerod “JD”, Rhiana, Miki Lee, Christine, Rhonda, Meghan, Katie, Christopher, Amanda, Kayla, Mackenzi, and Branden; numerous adored great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce (Jeannie) Baumann; daughter-in-law, Rose Marie Cooper; and her faithful puppy companion, Jack.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 58 years, Gerald R. “Coop” Cooper Sr.; sons, Scott D. Cooper and Gerald R. “Biff” Cooper Jr; and son-in-law, Johnny Doubt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Marcia to the Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley.
