Lois Jeanette Bily

On Friday January 11th, Lois Jeanette was welcomed home to her eternal rest after a brief decline in health. She was born and raised in Vincennes, Indiana. Mrs. Bily received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Indiana in Indianapolis, IND. She worked for 23 years as a night Nurse at the former Citizens General Hospital Wing 4D before retiring in 1989.

Mrs. Bily attended St. Joseph Church where she was a member and a past President of the Christian Mothers. She also was a member of Church Women United. Mrs. Bily was an avid reader and enjoyed being with the love of her life, her husband of 61 years, Walter J. Bily, before his passing. She enjoyed being the Bily Bed and Breakfast for her family when they were in town. She was adored by all for her sense of humor, quiet smile, warm hugs and kisses.

Lois Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Bily, her parents Earl S. and Bertha E. (Dreiman) McClure, her brother E. Morton McClure and wife Dessa, and her Son-in-Law Stephen Gary Vujevich.

Her surviving children are sons Lawrence W. (Lora) Bily, of Plymouth Meeting, Thomas A. (Vicki) Bily, of Quarryville, Walter J. (Robbie) Bily, of Houston, TX and daughter Sarah M.(Bily) Vujevich, of New Kensington.

Her (10) grandchildren are Pamela (Bily) & husband John Fisher, Paul Bily,  Mark & wife Natalie Bily, Dana (Bily) & husband Thomas Bohrnstedt, Parker Bily, Austin Bily, Stephen D. & wife Arevik Vujevich,  Maria E.(Vujevich) & husband Matthew Puwalowski, Veronica Jeanette Vujevich, Victor J. Vujevich. Her (5) great grandchildren are Elise and Vivian Bohrnstedt, J.W. and Baby Fisher, and Baby Puwalowski.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 18th at 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home LTD. trusted by our family for generations, 217 Freeport Road,  New Kensington, PA. (724-335-1234) The Rosary and Vigil service will be said at 3PM on Friday in the funeral home. Parting prayers will be at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10AM Saturday January 19th in  St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1125 Leishman Ave., New Kensington, PA followed by prayers of committal at Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell, PA.
