Karen Marie Dongiovanni

Karen Marie Dongiovanni, 49 of Vandergrift, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at home with her family and friends by her side. She was born March 10, 1971 in Natrona Heights, daughter of the late Raymond M. Sr. and Sandra L. Magaro Jaskey.

She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey A. Dongiovanni. Karen was employed at Burtners Hair Salon in Lower Burrell for 28 years. She found great enjoyment spending time with her family and friends, going to her sons hockey games, and getting to meet new people throughout the years. She was a lady who wore her heart on her sleeve. She always had her time to just listen if you wanted her to. She was a simple girl who loved nothing more than dining out and being with her husband, son and his girlfriend and engaging in a good movie, going on walks, swinging on her porch swing, and reading a good book. She was loved by so many.

She is survived by her dedicated and devoted husband of 23 years, Jeffrey A. Dongiovanni; son, Nico (Ann Minik-Chambley) Dongiovanni; siblings, Scott (Rebecca Kordell) Jaskey and Kimberly (Timothy) Baker; nieces, Mallory Baker, Stephanie (Fabian) Cristian, and Lydia Jaskey; great nieces & nephews, Sodi, Safi, Gabriella, and Javier; and father-in-law, Jim “Franco” Dongiovanni.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Michael Jaskey Jr.; mother-in-law, Berdine Dongiovanni; and brother-in-law, James J. Dongiovanni.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 in the Ross G. Walker Funeral Home Ltd., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday Jan. 23 at 2 PM. Father James Loew O.S.B., will officiate.
