Joyce Anne (Tinnemeyer) Geracia

Joyce Anne Geracia, 88, of Arnold, passed peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024.

She was born April 8, 1936, in Cleveland, OH, to the late William and Dorothy Loeblein Tinnemeyer.

Mrs. Geracia loved to bake, cook and read.  She was lovingly known as the “queen of the nut roll,” and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and Sudoku.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Surviving are her beloved children, Cathy (Michael) Laurent of Matthews, NC and Lori (Brett) Whited of New Kensington; seven adored grandchildren, Kristin (Joel) Lynch, David (Mary-Russell) Laurent, Ryan (Amber Moss) Laurent, Alyssa (Jordan) York, Kelsie (Nick) Hudson, Alaina Cirincione, Connor Whited; and eight cherished great-grandchildren, Brody, Skylar, Kinsley, Carson, Braelyn, Harley, Emory and Aria; as well as sister Doreen Cielo and brother, Dale Tinnemeyer. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Santo “Friday” Geracia who died in 2008; son Richard Geracia, who died in 2005; and siblings William and John Tinnemeyer, Joan Gamble and Carole Caperell.  

Viewing will be 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday, October 10, 2024, in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a funeral will be held Friday, at 2pm by Rev. Dean Ward.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
