Jennie Hosac, 98, of Plum Borough went to sleep in the arms of the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born in Wilkes-Barre on September 15, 1923, to the late Elias and Anna (Joseph) Abraham.
She was a graduate of Ken-Hi Class of 1941 and was a former member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Logan’s Ferry Heights Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at Plum Community Center where her smile and gentle demeanor was enjoyed and embraced by all members. Jennie was an avid gardener and a spectacular cook, with her specialty being exquisite traditional Syrian dishes. She was vivacious, generous, and compassionate. She loved all kinds of music as long as she could dance to it and often played cards with her friends and pressed her luck at bingo.
She is survived by her four beloved children, Andrew J. (Glenda) Hosac of Lower Burrell, Terrence M. “Terry” Hosac of South Bend Twp., Sharon A. (Jerry) Morson of Cape Coral, FL, and Jean M. Walters of Plum Borough; three cherished grandchildren, Andrea (Steve) Kowaluk, Andrew (Sarah) Hosac, and Brittany (Jeff) Fortuner; two adored great-granddaughters, Courtney Kowaluk and Eve Hosac; and brothers, Joseph Abraham, and Donald Abraham, both of Arizona.
In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Hosac; sisters, Marian Paul, Helen Vestrand, Diana Kozlowski; and brother, Edward Abraham.
