Ilona Marie (Hession) Denham

Ilona Marie Denham, 68, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. 

She was born September 25, 1956 in New Kingston, Rhode Island, to the late Thomas & Elizabeth Maytan Hession.

Ilona was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during Operation Desert Storm, and served in Korea and Germany in the Army Signal Corps. She also served as an Army Recruiter.  

She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed and loved animals of all sorts, especially cats.  She also enjoyed classic black and white movies and was an avid Steeler fan. 

She is survived by her daughter, Desiree Rincom-Denham (Vince Sollini); grandchildren, Destiny & Luca; siblings, Patricia Ann (Michael) Patrick, Shawn Allen Hession; nieces and nephew, Charlotte, Leah and James; great-nephew and nieces, Jahuer, Makayla & Macie; and her cat Dakota.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Beau Denham; and brother Thomas James “Jimmy” Hession.

Viewing will be Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a blessing service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 11AM, followed by Military Honors by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.  Entombment at Greenwood Mausoleum, Lower Burrell.
