Harry A. Boggs

Harry Boggs. 82, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 4, 2024.

He was born on September 28, 1941 in New Kensington, to the late Robert S. Boggs & Louise I. (Morgan) Boggs, was a 1959 graduate of Ken-Hi, and served with the US Navy from 1961 until 1965.  Harry then continued his education at Penn State for engineering, and was a mechanical engineer with Koppers / Kaiser engineering until his retirement. 

His hobbies include boating, square dancing, bird watching, cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates, taking cruises, enjoying the sunshine and spending time with his family. 

Harry is survived by his wife of 62 years Beverly (Walker) Boggs (they were together 66 years!) his daughters Joni Marcy (Brian) and Kelly Thomey (Billy); his grandchildren Christopher Marcy, Megan McCreight, Lexi Marcy Jones (Gary), Marissa McCreight, and MaKenna Matuizek; his great grandchildren Kinzley Shaw, Kruz Shaw, Charlotte Jones, Josie Sant and Sunny Griffiths as well as his siblings, Roberta Ploski (Ron) and Randall Boggs (Kelley) and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dianne Cribbs (Richard), his granddaughter Taylor Marcy and great granddaughter Molli Sable. 

Visitation will be on Friday, June 14, from 2PM until services at 4PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
