Gloria Jean Cooper, 93, of Kennerdell, and formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
She was born in New Kensington on February 12, 1931 to Giuseppe “Joe” & Florence Castello Scibilia, and was a 1949 graduate of Arnold High School.
Mrs. Cooper was a long-time member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Arnold. She was an assembler at Westinghouse, RIDC Park, for almost 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, John E. Cooper, Sr.; son John E. Jr. (Tracie) Cooper; and two grandsons, Caleb and Lucas Cooper.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jaclyn Cooper; her son David “Biff” (I LUV BIFF) Cooper; and a grandson David Glubish.
Private services by her pastor, Rev. Marsha Adams, and entombment was in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., was entrusted with arrangements.
