Glenn Russell Evanyk, 71, whom resided at Oakmont Rehabilitation Center for the last 11 years, died peacefully in the arms of the Lord Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born December 2, 1950, one of five children born to the late John and Jean (Light) Evanyk.
Glenn was a sweet soul with a gentle demeanor that would brighten and soften your day while in his presence, and could be quite the charmer when he wanted. He fancied the “Golden Ages” having a deep affection for the 1950’s automobiles, movies, and all the classics associated with the emergence of rock ’n’ roll. An animal lover, Glenn was always first to pet a passing dog, and truly cherished time outdoors never missing an opportunity to soak up the sun and grab some fresh air.
Glenn will always be remembered and loved for his most giving heart and spirited individuality. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Jeffrey (Brinda) Evanyk of Burkesville, KY, John Evanyk of Youngwood, Pamela (Lou) Daugherty of Plum; two nephews and three nieces, and numerous great and great-great nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his brother in infancy, David Evanyk.
