Francis “Frank” J. Brunner, Jr., 90, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family
He was born June 12, 1935, in Millvale to the the late Francis J. Brunner Sr. and and Charlotte Wasko Brunner.
Frank proudly served in the United States Army, where he received Master Chef training, a skill he carried with him throughout his life. He went on to become a dedicated entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses in the New Kensington area. He was known for being honest, reliable, hardworking, and committed to supporting his family and community, At home, Frank enjoyed cooking and often prepared meals for holidays and family gatherings. He was known for his unique sense of humor and you could always count on him for a good joke.
Frank is survived by his children, Francis Brunner III and wife Jackie, Jennifer Goss, Heather Nickman and husband James, Kristin Brunner. and Krissy Brunner and husband Harindra Vedala, Terri Davidson and husband Bruce, Joseph Sorch and wife Nancy, and Steven Sorch and wife Robin.
He is also survived by his brother, John Brunner, loving grandchildren, Chloe Brunner, Adam Davidson, Laurin (Andrew) Urey, Dylan Sorch, Cody Sorch, Emilee (Justin) Mazza, Alexa (Ben) Richey, Melissa Anderson, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Brunner, brother, Andrew Brunner, and sister, Charlotte Moore.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, December 13, from 3:00pm until the service at 6:00pm, officiated by Pastor Dean Ward, at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
