Dorothy M. Keslar

Dorothy Margaret Keslar, 99, of Plum Borough went to glory on Monday, June 20, 2022. She was born February 12, 1923, in Punxsutawney to the late Evan and Laura (Conrad) Stiver, and graduated from Big Run High School.

She had a strong faith in the Lord and often attended the First Baptist Church of Upper Burrell or the Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church of Valencia with her daughters. Dorothy found joy in gardening, cooking, baking, embroidery, and playing her word puzzles.

She is survived by her three children, Donna M. (Charles) Susek of New Kensington, Sharon E. (Curtis) Benke of West Deer, and Richard E. (Cheryl) Keslar of Ambridge; six grandchildren and two step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Couch.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 48 years, Edward Keslar, in 1990; and sisters, Helen Himes, Irene Carcella, and Edna Muth.

Pleaes join us to honor and celebrate Dorothy’s Life with a viewing from 10 A.M. until time of funeral service at 12 P.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Upper Burrell, 3740 7th Street Road, New Kensington. Pastor Tim Kitchen will officiate. Private burial will be at Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Borough.
